  • Please sell chocolate to qualify for the pizza party! Bring in money by Monday 10/7
  • Oct. 4th, 2019 is half a day. Dismissal is 12:30 PM. Please do not bring lunch. 
  • Students were sent home with a cutting practice packet and two packets to practice their number and letter fluency. Please practice these at home. These DO NOT need to be brought back to class.

  • Please return all books from book baggies. If students don’t bring back the books, they will not be able to book shop this week and won’t be allowed to take baggies home. 
  • Please send in Scholastic money by Wednesday, September 25th ($6.50 in an envelope with your child’s name and number). 
  • I am noticing some students are still having trouble writing their numbers correctly and letters. I will be sending home some extra practice with certain students. This packet will be optional and can be kept at home for extra practice. I will also be sending students home with some cutting homework to practice their fine motor skills with scissors before I start cutting activities in the class. These worksheets DO NOT need to be returned and are to be kept at home to practice cutting. 



  • Please bring in pictures, stickers, magazines etc. by Friday to decorate our Writer’s notebook.
  • I am sending some scholastic magazines if you want to order books for your child. Feel free to use the link in the Book Club section of the page.
  • Don’t forget the Monthly Mission Money of $1.

  • Students have gym on Mondays. Please send them in appropriate uniform and sneakers.
  • Please wrap your child’s math text book in CLEAR contact paper if you have not already.
  • I will also be sending your child’s HOMEWORK notebook home on 9/16. Please staple the reading log to the back of the book. 
  • Scholastic Magazine Money  due $6.50. Please put it in an envelope with your child’s name and number (they should know their #’s), sealed!
  • If you’d like to place a book order for your child, the deadline is 9/18/19 (make sure to use our class code with the scholastic link provided)
  • VIRTUS training class on September 23 in the auditorium starting at 6:30 PM. If you would like to be a parent volunteer for trips, recess, etc. you must take this class and present the certificate to the office.
