Dear Parents,
Welcome to First Grade. This is the year for our young learners to shine brightly in our classroom. It will be a year of magical wonder and amazing growth for your little star.
I look forward to working with you and your child as we teach them to reach for the stars. I believe that communication is the key to your child’s success and to a great parent/teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns.
My goal is to guide your child to be the best that they can be in all that they do and to guide them to share in God’s love and strengthen their faith.

Student Supply List:
7 – composition notebooks (100 pages) each with subject and name. Each notebook must be labeled with name and subject: Social Studies, ELA/Reading, Religion, Spelling, Math, Science, and Homework. Keep a few extra notebooks at home in case you need a new one during the year.
4- PRIMARY JOURNAL COMPOSITION notebooks, please note that these are different notebooks than the ones needed above and will be used for Writing Journal.
2 – folders labeled, preferably plastic - labeled: Homework- on the right side and Notices on the left side, and another folder for Classwork labeled in progress on the right and completed on the left side ).
2- boxes of No. 2 wooden pencils.****5 sharpened pencils MUST be provided daily***NO MECHANICAL pencils permitted.
1- pencil sharpener
1 – box of crayons (24 pack).
1 – box of washable thin markers and colored pencils.
1 – pair of scissors for a child.
3 – glue sticks.
1 – pencil case must be soft
2 – Independent Reading Books to be left in their desks at all times.
2 – packages of loose leaf paper (wide ruled with margin)
1 - ream of white copy/printing paper
1 – pack of highlighters multi-colored
1 pack of construction paper
1 – large stretch book covers for textbooks.
2 – Packages of index cards (3 x 5)
1- Index card holder
2 – Packages of Post-it notes.
1 – Package of black dry-erase markers.
1 – Package of multicolored dry-erase markers.
Box for Art class -1 small clear shoebox-(as per art teacher, please include playdough, crayons, markers, and glue sticks).
Classroom Supplies:
2 – boxes of tissues
2 – large hand sanitizers
2 – rolls of paper towels
2 – packages of baby wipes
2 – packages of Clorox wipes.
2 boxes gallon-size Ziploc bags
1 box sandwich-size Ziploc bags
1 ream of white copy/printing paper
1 – packages of black Expo dry-erase markers.
1 – packages of multicolor Expo dry-erase markers
1 - bottle of Lysol spray
1 pair of over-the-head- headphones (put in a plastic bag and label with your name on it and grade) These headphones will be kept in school at all times and not brought home.
Home Supplies to keep at home:
1 package of letter-sized envelopes
2 – rolls of clear contact paper to cover soft workbooks only, all workbooks must be covered by the first week of school as they are brought home and returned the next day.

Remember you can always buy extra supplies and store them for later use in the year if they may be needed.
