Dear 6th Grade Students/Parents/ Guardians

Welcome to 6th grade, and get ready to make your mark! I hope you are as excited as I am about getting this new school year started. I am thrilled to be your teacher and I look forward to a fun and productive year together. Be ready to bring your “A” game. As a 6th grade student at St. Athanasius you will have many expectations and responsibilities.

Parents I encourage you to participate in your child’s education. The most successful students are supported by a strong cooperative relationship between parents and teachers. It is important that parents review all handbook policies with your child at home. We want the transition from elementary to middle school to go as smooth as possible, and being knowledgeable about both academic and behavioral expectations will help with this transitional period. I look forward to meeting you all over the next few weeks. Please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime.

I will see you all on the first day of school!

Ms. Gabb

** Please monitor your child’s progress daily and keep checking the class web page and all online communications from school through emails and School text messages. I will be using Google Applications such as Google Classroom, and Google Slides.

I strongly recommend that students download the Google Classroom app on their electronic devices at home.

For Our Middle School Thanksgiving Feast we will need families to donate foods. Please email me with what you would like to bring in for that day. Also please make sure the bottom of the paper is returned to me as that is like the permission slip.
