Meet Your Teachers!

My name is Angelica Capotorto, I'll be your child's teacher this school year along with teacher assistant Ms. Elena Guarnera. I’ve been a 3K Teacher at St. Athanasius Catholic Academy for 4 years and have been teaching for 12 years. I enjoy teaching the little ones because they are curious about their world, and they always use their creativity and imagination. When it comes to teaching early childhood students, I highly value teamwork and collaboration. Mrs. Elena and I collaborate when it comes to creating activities that enhance students’ learning and we encourage our students to engage in daily activities. We also strive to foster and model kindness and empathy.  Fun facts about myself: I speak Italian, I’m a Disney fan; I started the Disney Club this year for grades PreK- 3rd grade, I love to travel and explore new cities, I love to shop on Amazon and I enjoy working with my fabulous teacher assistant Mrs. Elena! We can’t wait to have an amazing, fun year with you!

Hi, I’m Mrs. Elena! I have been working with young children for nearly 11 years and love being a Teacher Assistant in 3KA with Ms. Angelica. I strive to create a safe, nurturing and engaging classroom where children learn through play, creativity and exploration. I am a fun and silly teacher who enjoys making students laugh while helping them build confidence, kindness and a love of learning. I enjoy making every child feel welcomed, safe and loved. Fun facts about me: I love traveling especially to Italy, I enjoy shopping on Amazon, Marshall’s and Target, I speak English and Italian and I enjoy arts and crafts. I also work in an after-school program so I have experience working with young and older students.I always tell parents when you drop off your children to school they become our children. I can’t wait to meet your child in September!
